We started the day with a quiz that consisted on applying Kirchoff's Law to solve circuits.
First we assign currents and apply the loop rule, and then apply current rule in order to find the currents, then find the other variables.
We worked on permeability of paper lab that consisted on calculating the capacitance of different thickness of a book with a multimeter, by using two aluminum foils. As the thickness increases, the capacitance decreases. The graph also tell us that they have inverse relation.
We work on problems about capacitors in series and parallel. In series, capacitors add inversely, and in parallel they add normally. With this idea, we solved the above arrangement.
At the end, we were asked to solve this complex arrangement. First, we calculated the total capacitance which was 52nF. Then, we calculated the respective charge and voltage in each capacitor. After calculating Vb, we used E = (CV^2)/2 to get the total energy of charged capacitors.
